Two Federal grant programs now open for applications

  • Applications of between $2,500 and $20,000 under Round 4 of the Stronger Communities Programme are open until Thursday 11 October 2018. Up to 20 projects will share in $150,000 across Hume. Applicants should contact Member for Hume The Hon Angus Taylor MP’s office with initial expressions of interest.
  • Applications for 2018 Volunteer Grants of between $1000 and $5,000 are open until Tuesday 18 September 2018. Applicants should apply directly via www.grants.gov.au. Here is the application form.

Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor has encouraged Hume community groups to apply for current Federal grant programs.

Round 4 of the Stronger Communities Programme aims to improve local infrastructure and provide essential community equipment. Applications will be assessed by a Hume selection committee, through the office of The Hon Angus Taylor MP.

“The Stronger Communities Programme is funding worthy local projects that bring our communities together and build participation and connection,” Mr Taylor said.

“Small capital projects can range from upgrading a community hall or sporting facility, building new bike paths, or providing equipment for a local community organisation.”

The 2018 Volunteer Grants are also now open to help volunteer groups buy equipment such as laptops, pay fuel costs, train volunteers and improve their fundraising.

Successful Hume recipients in the past have included Goulburn Pony Club Inc, Collector Memorial Hall Inc, Narellan Mens’ Shed Inc, Gunning District Association Inc, Crookwell CWA, Bundanoon Good Yarn Inc.
