PRE-POLLING OPENS MONDAY IN CAMDEN
Pre-polling opens in Camden from Monday 20 June, allowing voters from Camden and surrounding areas to vote ahead of the election day on Saturday 2 July.
The pre-poll centre is located at Camden Civic Centre, corner of Oxley and Mitchell Streets, Camden.
Doors open at 8.30am until 5.30pm Monday to Thursday next week, and until 6pm Friday. Pre-polling is also available on Saturday 25 June between 9am and 4pm and varying hours in the week before election day (see below).
Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor said many voters were expected to vote early and he encouraged people to do so thoughtfully.
“There are many reasons why this federal election is one of the most important in recent memory,” Mr Taylor said.
“I’m incredibly proud that a core part of my platform as the Member for Hume and this Government’s platform as we go into the next election is to support and encourage more local business people to get on, invest, grow and employ.
“That’s my platform, that’s the Government’s platform and for the Camden region that is essentially what makes our communities and economies tick.”
In the final week before the election day pre-polling times at Camden are as follows:
Monday and Tuesday 27 June and 28 June: 8.30-5.30pm
Wednesday 29 June: 8.30am-6pm
Thursday 30 June: 8.30-5.30pm
Friday 1 July: 8.30-6pm
Other pre-poll centres for Hume voters are located in Bowral at 351 Bong Bong Street and in Goulburn at Shop 2/104 Clinton St.
