Pollie Pedal 24 - Monday 21 October 2024
Federal Member for Hume and Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor has joined charity group Wandering Warriors for Pollie Pedal 2024.
This year’s route will cover 1,000 kilometres across NSW, starting in Gosford on Sunday 20 October through the Hunter Valley to Scone, Tamworth, Armidale and finishing in Port Macquarie on Sunday 27 October.
Mr Taylor said it’s all about raising valuable funds for veterans and their families.
“Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott started this event back in 1998.
“We’ve ridden more than 24,000 kilometres in that time and raised around $7 million dollars for various charities.
“This year we’re sponsoring the Wandering Warriors whose mission is to provide life changing opportunities for our special force’s veterans and their families.
“It’s a fantastic charity and I’m encouraging people to donate if they can afford to do so,” Mr. Taylor said.
