Liberals commit to upgrade sport and rec facilities in Camden
An elected Dutton Liberal Government will commit $4.52 million to deliver important upgrades to sport and recreational facilities across the Camden Local Government Area.
Federal Member for Hume, Angus Taylor, said the funding would deliver significant upgrades across five locations in Camden:
• Kirkham Park in Elderslie – $3,000,000 to build women’s changerooms and amenities and upgrade to LED floodlighting.
• Nott Oval in Narellan – $625,000 to complete the Narellan Tennis Courts with supporting amenities and upgrade to LED floodlighting.
• Liquidamber Reserve in Narellan Vale – $550,000 to upgrade to LED floodlighting for the playing fields and tennis facility.
• Jack Brabham Reserve in Oran Park – $220,000 to upgrade the women’s amenities and upgrade to LED floodlighting.
• Don Moon Reserve in Camden – $125,000 to upgrade the existing playspace.
“Shared outdoor spaces play an important role in bringing our community together and these upgrades will ensure that this can continue for decades to come,” Mr Taylor said.
“Whether it’s building women’s changerooms and facilities, upgrading lighting to safer and more energy-efficient options, or creating inclusive play spaces — each of these projects will support our growing region and improve the lifestyle enjoyed here by local families.”
“We will invest in local infrastructure and ensure Camden residents have access to the facilities they need and deserve.”
These commitments are part of the Liberals’ plan to get Australia back on track.
