Liberals Commit to CCTV Upgrade Across Wollondilly

Wednesday, 09 April 2025

An elected Dutton Liberal Government will deliver $200,000 in funding to expand CCTV network coverage across Wollondilly, enhancing security and protecting local communities.

With Wollondilly’s growing population, current security infrastructure is insufficient to monitor key areas and Council assets. This investment will ensure better surveillance in public spaces, helping to deter crime and improve safety for residents, businesses, and community groups.

Federal Member for Hume, Angus Taylor, has welcomed the funding commitment, reinforcing his dedication to community safety.

“Everyone in our local community deserves to feel safe and supported,” Mr. Taylor said.

"I’ve heard firsthand from our community that safety is a top priority.”

“That’s why I’ve fought for this funding to improve security and look after the local facilities and public spaces that I know this community use every day.”

“Getting Australia Back on Track means keeping Australia safe – safe for families, safe for businesses, and safe for communities.”

This $200,000 commitment is part of the Liberals’ broader plan to invest in crime prevention initiatives and strengthen community infrastructure, ensuring safer streets for all.
