Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor has released a 2016 School Leavers’ Guide to assist Year 12 graduating students as they explore their options for the next chapter of their lives.

“Leaving school can be a very daunting time for our high school graduates, but it also provides an exciting opportunity for them to take the first steps in shaping their future,” Mr Taylor said.

“I have put together a School Leavers’ Guide with information about programmes and opportunities available through the Federal Government.”

Over the next week copies of the School Leavers’ Guide will be provided to all graduating Year 12 students at high schools across Hume.

Mr Taylor has supplied more than 900 copies of the 16-page guide for students from 13 high schools in the electorate.

“The guide provides information on career development, education and training options and financial assistance provided by the Government, to assist both school leavers and their parents in making future decisions,” Mr Taylor said.
