Christmas comes early for Camden Council with cash boost
Camden Council will soon get their share of $1 billion flowing to councils nationwide to improve their local road networks and deliver priority community infrastructure projects.
Made possible under the third phase of the Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) program, guidelines for the funding are now online, meaning councils can now start nominating their priority projects.
Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor said under Phase 3 Camden Council would receive over $1.7 million.
“This is fantastic news for the Camden community, and I am excited to announce local governments can now nominate priority projects for funding under this latest phase of the program,” Mr Taylor said.
“This funding will deliver some of Council's priority projects, including key community infrastructure and road improvement projects which will benefit the whole community.”
“Over the course of this program, the Federal Government has allocated over $5.8 million to Camden Council making local projects that the community needs a reality.”
