ANGUS NEWSLETTER OUTLINES ACHIEVEMENTS FOR UPPER LACHLAN

Friday, 17 June 2016

Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor has outlined his achievements for the Upper Lachlan area in newsletters arriving in mailboxes.

Mr Taylor and the Coalition Government are getting the job done - including more mobile phone coverage and 4G internet, infrastructure funding for the region’s roads and bridges, and the securing of Commonwealth funding for retransmission equipment which has fixed Crookwell’s TV reception.

“The newsletter is an important way for me to communicate to constituents the many positive results we have achieved for this community. 1400 jobs have been filled in Hume through the jobactive programme in the past 10 months,” Mr Taylor said.

“I’m incredibly proud that a core part of my platform as the Member for Hume and this Government’s platform as we go into the election is to support and encourage more local business people to get on, invest, grow and employ.

“There’s a real buzz among the region’s businesses right now and much of that can be attributed to Government policies, such as tax relief, that will make it easier for local businesses to grow and invest.

“The election is a choice between the Turnbull Coalition’s plan for a strong economy, with more jobs and opportunity, or Labor’s higher taxes, more waste and weak borders. Labor’s debt and dysfunction would undermine those opportunities and growth.”

The newsletter asks residents to complete a pre-election community survey and includes:

* an outline of the Crookwell TV reception funding

* the campaign for better mobile and internet coverage

* local infrastructure investment and community grant ‘wins’ and

* the Coalition’s strong plan for Hume.

Newsletters have been arriving in mailboxes over recent days.
