$200k for new amenities at Appin Scouts
An elected Dutton Liberal Government will deliver $200,000 in funding to upgrade the toilet and shower facilities at Appin Scouts, ensuring modern and safe amenities for local youth.
These new facilities will support their activities by offering clean, reliable amenities for both male and female members.
Federal Member for Hume, Angus Taylor, has welcomed the funding commitment, reinforcing his strong relationship with Appin Scouts.
“Everyone in our community deserves access to modern, safe facilities that support the growth, social connection, and wellbeing of our youth,” Mr Taylor said.
“That’s why I’m committed to delivering these much-needed upgrades. With these new toilet and shower facilities, the Scouts can focus on their development, enjoy their activities, and continue their valuable contributions to our community.”
This announcement builds on previous investments under the former Coalition Government, which funded refurbishments at Cataract Scout Park. Mr. Taylor has been a strong supporter of the Scouts and was made an honorary member of the 1st Appin Scouts in 2019.
The $200,000 commitment is part of the Liberals’ plan to invest in local infrastructure and strengthen community spaces that bring people together.
