Revelations today of APRA investigations into allegations union-appointed super fund directors breached their director duties should raise alarm bells for all Australians.  

 

Today’s National Accounts shows the slowest GDP growth since the 1990s, outside the pandemic.   

 

This is the sixth consecutive quarter of negative GDP per person growth.  This is the longest per capita recession in 50 years. 

 

The latest monthly inflation data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics confirms inflation is still homegrown, too high and sticky.  

 

 

I have received correspondence from the Treasurer outlining proposed amendments to his RBA reform legislation.
