An early Christmas gift for Boorowa Men's Den
The Boorowa Men's Den will undertake shed improvements after securing funding under the National Shed and Development Programme.
Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor said the Boorowa Men's Den would be awarded $7,000 under Round 22 of the programme.
"This funding round helps men's sheds to buy tools and equipment, support community projects and training, maintain or develop their buildings, or create local activities to improve men's health," Mr Taylor said.
"These grants will mean a lot to the Boorowa members and the broader community, and I congratulate them on their success."
Boorowa Men's Den will use the grant to partially fund the construction of an 'outdoor room' between the main shed and storage shed, which will provide outdoor space sheltered from the weather.
Sheds can apply for funding and grants up to a total of $10,000, with priority given to sheds in disadvantaged areas.
The NSDP provides funding to Men's Sheds through a competitive grants process.
Applications for Round 23 of the NSDP will be opened in mid-January 2022.
