40 community groups share in over $127,000 in volunteer grants
Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor has announced that 40 local community organisations have successfully secured funding under the Federal Government’s Volunteer Grants 2021.
Mr Taylor said successful organisations would receive grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 to purchase small equipment items and contribute towards the cost of training courses.
“Throughout my time as local member, I have seen the impact of volunteering here in this region and have witnessed just how hard our local volunteers work and what they give to our community,” Mr Taylor said.
“I’m proud of the work undertaken by community organisations in my electorate, particularly how they have continued to support businesses and families through the past two years with bushfires, major weather events and the pandemic.”
