Community pharmacies in southwest Sydney and the Southern Highlands will join the COVID-19 vaccine rollout commencing next week.

 Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor said 118 community pharmacies are currently vaccinating across the country, and over 470 community pharmacies will be vaccinating by the end of July 2021.   

“From Monday, local community pharmacies who have expressed interest in joining the COVID-19 vaccine rollout and who have previously been found suitable will begin administering the vaccine,” Mr Taylor said.

“Local pharmacies delivering AstraZeneca will include Camden Pharmacy Focus, Capital Chemist Bowral, Blooms Mittagong, Moss Vale Village Pharmacy, Narellan Chemist, Nick Knowles Pharmicist Advice Moss Vale, Pharmacy 4 Less Narellan, Pharmacy Express Mount Annan, Choice Pharmacy Spring Farm, Clayton’s Pharmacy Bowral, Douglas Park Pharmacy, Picton Discount Drug Store, Priceline Pharmacy Mittagong, Sinclairs Pharmacy Camden, Terry White Chemmart Narellan Town Centre, The Chemist Shop Silverdale and Wilton Pharmacy.

“Pharmacies who have not yet expressed interest will also be offered the opportunity to participate, as well as any GPs that are not yet participating in the rollout.”

“More pharmacies are coming on board every week to participate in the rollout.”

The National COVID Vaccine Taskforce continues to work with state and territory Governments to accelerate the vaccination program and ensure the nation has broad coverage of primary care sites across the country who are delivering the COVID-19 vaccine.

In addition, community pharmacies will also participate in the rollout of the Moderna vaccine from September.
