2019 Budget: Successful Stronger Communities program
Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor has congratulated 11 successful Hume applicants under the Coalition’s Stronger Communities Round 4 program.
Mr Taylor welcomed the commitment in tonight’s Budget to deliver Round 5 of the program in 2019-20, at a cost of $22.65 million.
“This is an outstanding program delivering worthy local projects right across the electorate,” Mr Taylor said.
“Well done to all the successful applicants, a number of whom I have congratulated personally. I know we will have strong interest again when the next round opens.”
Successful Round 4 projects are:
Cawdor Public School P&C $20,000 New treehouse play space
Macarthur Preschool $4,495 Replacement of timber pergola
Anglican Parish of Cobbitty $20,000 New children's playground
Douglas Park Little Athletics $20,000 New sportsground multi-purpose storage facility
Wilton Anglican Church $10,000 Purchase of play equipment and shade sail
Gunning Community Health $5,000 Refurbish premises
Rye Park Soldiers Hall $2,500 Installation of water tank
Goulburn Show Society $4,525 Power installation at cattle pavilion
Crookwell Public School P&C $20,000 Replace playfield with synthetic surface
Picton Rangers Soccer Club $20,000 Resurface and line car park
Goulburn Triathlon Club $4,136 Scoreboard and timing system upgrade
