Merry Christmas from Angus and his family

Friday, 18 December 2015

“We have a lot to be grateful for this Christmas. Our communities are largely safe, healthy, happy places.    Angus Taylor Video Clip >>

We have vibrant towns and villages, many of which have been enjoying good seasons and bumper prices. While there are challenges that come with doing business in the bush, 2015 has been a good year.

I’d like to thank the hard working people of Hume who contribute so much to the success and prosperity of this great part of Australia. Thanks for all you do to keep our economy ticking over, providing jobs, services and produce.

We have terrific schools, sowing the seeds for learning and inspiring tomorrow’s leaders and thinkers.

A hearty thanks to our volunteers who do so much good in our communities – much of it behind the scenes.

2015 has been a year of commemoration in which we have remembered the sacrifices made by so many young rural men during the First World War, fighting for the freedoms we enjoy today.

It is those freedoms that set us apart and make this country great.

These are the things that matter to me most and which I am very grateful for this Christmas.” Angus Taylor
