Great news for Woodstock - NBN rollout confirmed
Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor has announced the village of Woodstock will receive fixed wireless fast broadband in the next 12 months.
“The rollout of fast broadband through Cowra Shire is going very well with many new fixed wireless towers already active. Great news this week that another tower will be built at Woodstock,” Mr Taylor said.
He said the NBN (National Broadband Network) tower at Woodstock was expected to provide fast broadband for 210 premises in the village and surrounds.
“This is in addition to 1700 premises that are expected to be covered by a fixed wireless tower underway at Mt McDonald and seven towers already switched on at Koorawatha, Noonbinna, Gooloogong, Billimari, Canowindra, Cowra West and Cowra.”
Mr Taylor said during a recent visit to Woodstock there was a lot of excitement about the tower - with concrete already poured.
“Overall the Cowra Shire has done really well to be prioritised in the NBN rollout – and with optic fibre also being rolled out within the next 18 months to more than 3000 premises in Cowra township itself – this is an outstanding result for families and small business in the district.”
