Federal Member for Hume and Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor wants to hear from eligible not for profit groups who are interested in applying for funding through the Australian Government’s 2024/25 Volunteer Grants Program.

$10 million will be allocated nationally across 151 electorates, with more than $66,000 available for the electorate of Hume.

Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 will be up for grabs so that organisations can support the efforts of their volunteers.

These groups can make an expression of interest to the Office of Angus Taylor Hume MP by 16 January 2025.

A nominations list will then be forwarded to the Department of Social Services.

Mr. Taylor said many of our community groups would not be able to survive without the efforts of their volunteers.

“Volunteering plays such an important role in this region.

“It brings people together and makes our local communities better places to live.

“I strongly encourage all eligible groups to apply or get in touch with my office if they have any questions on 4658 7188.”

Expression of interest forms are also available to download HERE or for collection at the Camden and Goulburn Electorate Offices.
