Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor has welcomed news that Breadalbane Hall will receive a $5,000 grant under Round 17 of the Federal Government’s Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal Tackling Tough Times Together program.

Mr Taylor said he was pleased to see the program benefiting small, rural communities like Breadalbane.

“The Tackling Tough Times Together program has a range of benefits, particularly for communities that have been disadvantaged by the drought.”

“Breadalbane Hall Committee will use the funding to install a new commercial dishwasher for use by the community when holding special events and functions at the Hall.”

President of Breadalbane Hall Committee Sally McLean said the community were very grateful and excited to be receiving a grant.

“The Hall gets used a lot for various events, and a new dishwasher will be a huge timesaver for community members and volunteers when cleaning up after functions,” Mrs McLean said.
