Picton Thirlmere Bargo RSL Salutes Their Service
Picton-Thirlmere-Bargo RSL Sub-Branch will add an addition panel to their Memorial Walkway to commemorate the Second World War thanks to a Saluting Their Service grant.
Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor congratulated the RSL, which will receive $10,000 to fund the commemorative project.
“The Memorial Walkway at Thirlmere’s RSL Hall honours all those military personnel who have served in a range of conflicts and this additional panel will further commemorate those who served during the Second World War,” Mr Taylor said.
“These grants are all about ensuring that the service history of the community is captured and preserved for future generations.”
More than $2.2 million in funding was provided through this round of the Saluting Their Service commemorative grants program.
