The Southern Tablelands Chapter of the Veterans Motorcycle Club (VMC) will receive a share of $2.4 million worth of funding under the Veteran and Community Grants Program.

Federal Member for Hume Angus Taylor said the club would receive $20,000 to purchase a BBQ trailer to enable the club to better support veterans and attend community fundraisers across the region.

“These types of support services provided through local organisations like VMC are an important factor to ensuring veterans and their families continue to get the support they need.

“This is fantastic news for the club and some 1,277 veterans they support across this region, VMC regularly host events throughout the year to raise money for local veterans and their families.

“Congratulations to the Veterans Motorcycle Club and thank you for the ongoing support that you offer to the veteran community.
